Yela wrote the hook and did production to get Em’s verse first. After he heard it he decided not to do his own verse because he thought Em’s was perfect so he just made the song better. The juxtaposition between the 2 is perfect and they created a 🔥 song. One of my fav Em collaborations. When you realize Em is talking about Proof it adds an additional layer of meaning.

Fun fact is that when Yelawolf made this track and had his verse in it, he had Em then do his verse, he got the track back and heard Em's verse, Yelawolf said hell nah. He took his verse out and this kinda became Em's track with Yela building it up at the beginning and chorus. He was shook when he heard Em's verse 😂😂

I remember the first time I heard this with headphones on and Ems part about “your arch enemy surrounds you” hit, and it went from left ear to right to left to right...surrounding your ears. The headphones became part of the bar. One of my go to songs. 🔥🔥🔥

Whole song is a triple… yella talking about Grip Plyaz as his best friend who passed years ago. Em is rapping bout his best friend proof who had passed. And then both can also be talking bout god as the triple

Yelawolf is highly underrated. There's a reason he is signed to Shady LTD.

"Trash or Pass" on Title with Eminem is so much disrespectful

When I first heard this song I lost it. It's on my playlist now. And eminem was talking about proof who had passed away a few years before that. So his higher power is his boy proof. Not god, but the delivery leaves it open to interpretation
