  My ex did this to me too. Told me „you don’t need a degree. No one uses theirs anyway. You definitely won’t since I’m going to make you my housewife whether you like it or not!“ Only difference was, his parents had nothing to do with it. It was all him. Thankfully I escaped before he could propose to me.
