  Yes, Meryl Streep&apos;s reaction was great. But Glenn Close also reacted extremely classy and elegantly! She&apos;s such a wonderful lady! I hope she wins an Oscar soon, she deserves it so much!

  Cher really wanted to win so badly you could see it in her eyes. Meryl Streep is one of a kind, classy beyond words. I simply love both of them.

  Cher was the crowd favorite as they exploded into cheers and applause when the gorgeous and elegant Paul Newman announced her as the winner. This “at home” movie lover was also thrilled to see her win. She was also excellent in “Silkwood,” the movie referenced in her acceptance speech in which she acted with Meryl Streep and Kurt Russell. That film should also be on every movie lover’s must watch list. I’m glad Oscar said “Take Me Home,” Cher. 🎶🎬❤️🎬🎶

  Just the fact that Cher (age 41 at the time) and Nicholas Cage (age 23) were able to pull off a romantic couple so convincingly, makes me think they both deserved Academy Awards.

  She looks gorgeous. That gown is as show-stopping and distinctively Cher, as well-deserved and fabulous as her golden Academy Award.
