  I am stating the obvious, but this is the real life Polar Express. This train even stops at peoples homes and the track is in front of their houses.

  the sheer amount of human effort it takes to build the train tracks through this super inhospitable environment, and the amount of engineering it took to design those tracks, and to design and build that train that can reliably run and function in that harsh cold environment is astounding to me. you can just buy a ticket abord this thing and have a warm meal, a drink, and a warm good nights sleep as this gigantic piece of steel charges through the literal frozen middle of no where, because others have already done the work to enable such a luxury. humans are crazy.<br><br><br>Edit: im pretty high rn too

  Fun fact: The Alaska Railroad is the last class one full service railroad in the United States. That means they provide freight and passenger service.

  My husband and I lived in rural Alaska for five years. We didn’t even have underground plumbing. Our house had a water tank and water was delivered twice a week. But we could see Northern Lights almost every night in the winter if it was a clear sky. I still remember when a bear ripped off our sliding glass door like he was tearing a piece of paper. It was an experience.

  I live in Minnesota. &nbsp; I think that you need to invest in some Thinsulate insulated gloves, long johns, some insulated jeans, a nice set of insulated Carhartt Bibs and Jacket &nbsp;I saw those sweatpants and &nbsp;thin jacket and hoped that you wouldn&apos;t get too cold. &nbsp;Lol.... &nbsp;Brrrr.. &nbsp; We have had beautiful views of the Northern lights the last couple years at least. &nbsp;They have been especially beautiful this year.
