The funny thing is in America, this guy was always just the face of unlicensed knock-off NES products. I remember him from the 80's, but I honestly had no idea that he had any actual significance whatsoever.

Was an honour and a pleasure working with you on this Slopes, and I thankyou again for reaching out to me, and even have me write some of script! This is the kind of video which is what retro gaming history is all about. The Oliver's are icons of the British gaming lore, and this is such a homage to them. To see such positive feedback for it in heartwarming, and it really is on the finest projects you have done. A long wait, but so so worth it. Kudos my friend. Dizzy Forever.

Dizzy, the acid trip of a Sega Genesis rental that I had to convince myself actually happened. Although I only had the game for a weekend, this Codemasters classic stuck with me for life. None of my friends have ever mentioned the game so I'm probably one of the few American fans.

Huge Dizzy fan from the US here since I was a little kid and first played Treasure Island Dizzy on Quattro Adventure on a rental. A few years later I found the Dizzy standalone game (I can't remember the name now) at a local swap meet and had the only other gold cartridge in my collection outside of the Zelda games. Was cool to later find out how many Dizzy games there actually were with emulation.

Wow the Oliver twins are absolutely amazing grafters, we’ve got a lot to thank them for. The Oliver’s are to gaming what black sabbath is to heavy metal. Creators, forefathers of gaming. Geniuses.

 HIGH-FIVE!
You convinced this American who never gave a hoot about Dizzy to watch a 75-minute documentary on the entire series. Fantastic work!

50:41 - Super Robin Hood. Best NES Codemasters song and a true classic for anybody who grew up with it.

I didn't know Code Masters were so unsupportive
Code Masters wouldn't exist without Olivers

I was a huge dizzy fan and played in on my Amstrad CPC 464, I loved all of the series and completely almost all of them, but they were at times rather hard. Dizzy was my childhood and spent hours and hours playing, love this video brining back so many memories. I was born in 1976 and got my first title in 1988 and played them for years till about 1992. So funny showing the montage, I used to have every single one of them games 😂
