  The Matrix was suppose to use people&apos;s brainpower to increase the computer processing power, but the bosses thought people wouldn&apos;t get it so changed it to people being batteries.

  &quot;Made for one thing, Seach and Destroy&quot; which is of course two things. &nbsp;The line where Tank calls Neo &quot;a machine&quot; like its a compliment to how fast he&apos;s learning - I never understood that either

  I do actually think that the French dude is actually a former One who survived as code and lived in the next Matrix. Think about it, he&apos;s able to manipulate the code of the Matrix, the only program to do so, he has the ghost dudes, former agents from a previous Matrix and other old programs working for him, he is allowed to capture powerful programs like the Keymaker with no problem, and the agents don&apos;t seem to want to mess with him. He survives Smiths attack unscathed, even the Oracle couldn&apos;t do that. Also, his wife his named Persephone, which makes him Hades, the King of the Underworld, like a God. Hence, a former One, who survived his Matrix movies and know lives in the next one.

  In the first movie humans were suppose to be RAM and that&apos;s why they needed brain power, but the network said that people wouldn&apos;t understand and they should dumb it down, so: batteries. Which, like you said, defeated the purpose of a Matrix
