My Dad plays the violin in this concert. If you want to see just that excerpt, search for
Ron Wood and Laurie. My dad's 87 years old now but still remembers this event!

I'm 28, and I had no idea Rod Stewart was once awesome. I only heard his 80s/90s stuff growing up in my parents house. But this shit is awesome rock and roll!

No compression, no pitch bend, no auto-tune - just pure old kick ass rock and roll.

Just look at the enthusiasm and enjoyment that each member of the band derived from making great, timeless music. That, coupled with immense talent, is what made The Faces one of the best bands in history.

It's 2026, I am 70 next month. Since those halcyon teenage years, my entire life has happened. Girlfriend, marriage, two daughters, one a You Tube girl, divorce, lost it all, worked to rebuild it all, experienced happiness and tragedy, poverty and wealth. I watch these old videos, look at the audience, and wonder where their lives led them. The late sixties and early seventies were the best ever and the music will never be forgotten. Legends one and all.

....I was there! Gaumont State Theatre Kilburn and they were fucking awesome! The support band was Strider who's lead guitarist Gary Grainger went on to play in Rod's band when he went to play all that Atlantic Crossing and A Night on the Town bollocks. This was my FIRST ever gig, great initiation into real rock and roll eh! Lap it up, you'll never see the likes of this again. Superb band and rock as it should be...

When I watch this I Feel old. I saw Rod Stewart in the early 70's. How time flies, I love his music and I still do. Age takes it time on us all, but music lives on.
