  HERING AND MAKEREL: I&apos;m living in Århus, Denmark, located at the Baltic Sea (but these two seas belong together).. I live about 5 - 10 minutes from the seaside, and I often go fishing. &nbsp;Well, within a season I usually catch saltwater fish including Sea Trout, Salmon, Garfish, three four varieties of Flatfish, and others. However, if to calculate my main supply of protein within a season, it clearly comes from Herring and Mackerel. I love to take my bike, pack a tent, cooking stuff, sleeping bag, little smoke oven for 2 - 4 fish at a time, fishing gear, and bye bye - I&apos;ll be back when I&apos;m back hehe. It&apos;s in my blood. I cannot help it. It&apos;s part of my cultural instinct.

  I live on the East Coast and sail it &nbsp;the North Sea and have immense respect for it. I guess we take it for granted, but it is a mysterious sea ❤. Thank you for this.I&apos;ve always thought it x

Even until the late 1960th, before small fisheries were bankrupted by industrial fishing, the fishermen of western Denmark and of the Eastern U.K., had a shared dialect that was spoken and understood on fishing vessels and in small fishing communities. --- BIOLOGY -- The North Sea region that stretches from Skagen in Denmark, via western Norway, and to the Shetland Islands is often called &quot;The Orion Belt&quot;. In this region there is an upwelling of cold Atlantic water, that is very rich in zooplankton and phytoplankton, which is brought to the surface region of the North Sea. The area is very rich in everything from plankton, to crustaceans, fish, and their predators including Seals, Atlantic Whitesided Dolphin, Whitebeaked Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, as well as other Cetaceans, ...
