<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rITwfPywoWg&t=475">7:55</a> "There are rules where if you flag but your opponent has insufficiant mating material, then it's a draw" - according to FIDE, if a checkmate is technically possible, then the flagging player still loses. So if you flag with king and pawn vs. king and knight you lose.
