The Old Town of Lijiang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built around stone lanes, canals and traditional wooden houses. This journey begins at Sifang Street and the Big Waterwheel, then follows the old town through the evening. Later chapters visit Baisha and Shuhe, two historic settlements north of central Lijiang.
