14 year old Caleb Mercer was thrown out of his mother Sarah's home by step -father into a cold Pennsylvania winter night. Caleb slept in a rusting broken down SUV while scrounging for bread in the local Carbondale Bakery dumpster. Caleb closed off a servant's room that he was able to heat with a space heater loaned by a sympathetic neighbour. By June, Caleb discovered a hidden treasure.
