  Hi hi hi,<br><br>I&apos;m really sorry for being gone for so long. I think the 9 month time-frame was mainly just a combination of being really busy with school and trying to find myself throughout the making of this video. After my last upload I realized that there were just a lot of aspects of my personal life that were drastically affecting me and my creative output. And I had to make sure that, before I could ever finish this one, I needed to take care of all of that. I can comfortably say that I&apos;m genuinely in a really good place now and excited to work on new stuff for the channel. You&apos;ll never see me be gone for that long ever again don&apos;t worry LMAO.

  Before The First Slam Dunk, I think the most revered basketball movie that&apos;s not a documentary is Hoosiers (1986), which features a very simplified form of basketball: pass the ball around and then shoot. Leading to many repetitive slow motion clips of shots going into the hoop. I believe that&apos;s b/c lazy Hollywood doesn&apos;t have the patience to break down the nuances of the game. They prefer the more obvious separation of roles in the likes of baseball. Major League (1989), for example, presents each player&apos;s strengths and weaknesses. Slam Dunk allows you to understand the individual specialties of the starting 5 players. Making for exciting subplots between the matchups within the game.

  Little fun fact: There is now a japanese player in the NBA called Kawamura Yuki that was constantly compared to Miyagi due to him being undersized and having insane passing skills; This made him read Slam Dunk for the first time and he fell in love with it, even changing his jersey number to &apos;7&apos; to reference Miyagi 🥲

  This is probably one of the best video&apos;s I think i&apos;ll ever watch. Your ability to tell a cohesive and emotional story that can touch other peoples hearts while still managing to intertwine your own personality and style of comedy that manages to not take away from that emotional story you&apos;re trying to tell is astounding. Not to mention, your passion to elevate your story telling through your editing and find new creative ways to bring your ideas to live is so fucking good. I can only hope to bring something i&apos;m passionate about to life in such a way that you have and thank you for yet again reminding us all why Takehiko Inoue is one of the greatest mangaka&apos;s to ever live.

  The best part about Dennis Rodman was that he COULD score at an elite level, he just chose not too. Scoring a total of 34 points and 23 rebounds.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAJFerMeSIU&amp;t=94">1:34</a> Basketball was already popular in the Philippines way before slam dunk, since we got colonized by the U.S. during the 1900s. basketball is like a religion here, and when slam dunk anime first aired, the people instantly loved it, and to this day one of the most if not the most popular anime in our country.
