I realize some people still love these services, even if I'm not a daily user. If that's you...what do you find most valuable about them? Leave a comment. What a distopian world we live in where we need these services just to keep our privacy. This kind of data collection from corporations should be illegal

Your Sudo experience is like my PayPal experience. I used to have a PayPal account, but I currently have a lifetime, unappealable ban. I had a US PayPal when in the US, with a connection to a US bank, and using a US address. Then I retired and moved to Thailand. My US PayPal would not let me use a Thailand shipping address. My solution, for a few months, was to create a new Thailand PayPal account, connected to my Thailand bank, and using my Thailand address. Unknown to me, two PayPal accounts are a big no-no, even though the only commonality was my name. I thought I would miss PayPal a lot more than I do. There have been a few merchants I haven't been able to buy from, but it's rare, and usually an alternative merchant can be found.

As an individual home user, I would consider a reasonable one-time fee - but no subscriptions, thanks.

Since these services require KYC, you still have no privacy.

Pseudo management services are almost impossible to implement outside the US. I live in Australia. You CAN get VoIP or secondary numbers but they are all tied to draconian KYC - and they're expensive!

So, other than the phone number, I use a separate Password manager, unlimited email alias system, and an unlimited virtual payment card system. ... That gets me 80% of the way.

The problem comes in when you have competing tech trying to do the same stuff. I use different tech, but the trick is to pick a provider, and stick with it!
