Morality and the law aside, people at this level with skeletons in the cupboard are a security risk.

He was by no means a brilliant Admiral.

The elites behaved then as they pleased bcs of sense of entitlement, just like how Andrew has behaved decades later, they should not be allowed to escape the prism of accountability because of who they are.

I'm sure many knew about his passion for young boys and said nothing even in the 1940's yet Alan Turing was hounded until he killed himself for having a relationship with another consenting adult. Talk about hypocrisy.

I have always wondered what these people did to those children separated from their families and taken by the government during WWII.

Did he not lose two ships in WW11? Against all advice, Montgomery, etc, he pushed the Diepe (spelling) disasterous raid where the Germans were waiting. Intel told him this but he insisted on the raid. Pig headed idiot had massed deaths of Canadians, naval, &, RAF pilots, etc, on his dirty hands.

Nothing about the disastrous raid on Dieppe that he "masterminded." It cost the lives of many Canadian soldiers.
