When I'm listening to anything on YouTube, I'm often just lounging around on my couch, while my 8-year-old daughter watches her own videos on her iPad.  When I play one of your songs, she gets up, lies down next to me, and watches your videos with me.  She is as captivated by your voice as I am.  You capture the minds and hearts of all ages and for young kids with a short attention span, that isn't easy to do.  I hope you never stop singing, because in a world filled with hate, fear, and rage, listening to you puts a certain ease in my mind and comforts my soul.  Thank you for that. ❤

The soul of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole is sitting somewhere over the rainbow with Iam's dad just beaming.

SING BROTHER!!! sing for our islands, sing for our people, sing for our freedom. Island whale conservationist here. born raised and now a career. these songs remind me why i still do it. our culture. our people. our reefs. its our HOME. and it lives in our music. 3 million views isn't for nothing my friend. and your other videos cracking half a mil or close. the heart is still there. and you've got it !

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole would be proud of you!!! You made it sound like Iam Tongi instead of IZ. That’s the part he’ll be proud of. You made it your own. You’re representing him, your father Rodney and all the Hawaiians the proper way. Continue both of those beautiful souls legacy young man 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Somewhere over the rainbow, high above the chimney top, Bruddah Izzy is grinning that infectious smile.
