  Venom knows ball. His break down is spot on. Bird took three defenders out of the play by himself.

  Bird was a pinpoint shooter, in any position or situation on the court (including off-balance shots, shots with his left hand, etc.)<br>He was crafty and quick thinking<br>He was an unselfish player, and gave up the spotlight so the other players could shine.<br>He had self-confidence to the point that pressure didn&apos;t affect him (that&apos;s why he still holds the record for the most wins of the 3-point contest. Nerves of steel).<br>With that self-confidence he was soft-spoken, humble, and complimentary to other players. <br>He was tough as nails, and led by example diving for loose balls etc.<br>He was a play-maker. <br>He had fun on the court, and so did his team. This shows when watching them play. Bird and his Celtics were fun to watch.

  Venom is beginning to learn but he’ll soon learn that Bird could get any shot he wanted like KD but did it against tougher, more physical defenses. And he is a more complete a player, impacted winning far more that KD.

  May 5th was also my grandmother&apos;s birthday. I watched the game that he fractured his cheek bone in on TV that day. If I remember correctly, it was an afternoon game on the weekend. Saturday or a Sunday. The Pacers went on a big run, and when they showed Larry coming back, I thought there&apos;s no way. But he did it. He led them back for the win.
