I don't think I've ever seen Pete so open and sociable. It confirms my opinion that Colbert is the best interviewer on any talk show but pretty much any media. CBS really screwed up killing his show but I'm looking forward to his next endeavor

This shows Colbert's genius. He allows Pete to deliver (sometimes lengthy) answers and then chimes in with humor and intellect. A great watch!!

"Love wouldn't open that door" Damn man, he's still hilarious, still very mentally sharp at 80 years old after decades of drug and alcohol abuse. He did get sober, did suffer a relapse but has largely been sober for 40 years.....but still that's pretty damn remarkable.

This is exactly what the questionnaire was intended to be. The simplest questions with the grandest answers.<br><br>Edit: I commented before the last question but I had to come back; the pause while he thought about the rest of his life was beautiful, nobody laughed, nobody said anything, everyone waited for him, on his own time. Beautiful.
