The casting is insane for this movie. Personally I love Olivia Coleman (Best Actress Oscar winner btw!) in this. It's not a huge role but it's so well done. (Cue jokes about being well done...)

I was in the city of Wells in Somerset last week where they filmed Hot fuzz , and the crown in pub had pictures of the cast from when they filmed in the pub , they also do Hot fuzz location tours of the city , which is England's smallest , but has a huge cathedral and a moated castle x👍🏼

The script is SO clever. It's a mirror...every scene and attitude at the start changes in the middle and reverses by the end.

If you are interested in such things. When the movie loads find "U-Control" You will enjoy it most of the time. Also
Cate Blanchett played his ex G'f in a uncredited role as Janine
One last thing listen closely to the music used during the scenes. Like when Skinner drives up on the scene of the crime underneath was Dire Straits "Romeo and Juliet" Another time after the fire is Arthur Brown singing his hit "Fire"

3:32 Funny you should comment about her face, because that's Cate Blanchett in an uncredited role. Peter Jackson also has a cameo right at the beginning, as the man dressed as Santa Claus who stabs Nick in the hand.
