Comparison starts at 5:16 for those who don’t want to listen to me talk.

Astra produced the Uncanny Valley of music, it's almost there but it's like a zombie version of a real fugue

Artistically, there is simply no comparison, but objectively the GPT6 fugue is passable as an A-deserving undergraduate music student taking a counterpoint class, and therein lies the problem...

As Robert Schumann wrote: 'The most insipid head can hide behind a fugue; but a true fugue is the affair of a great master'.

You put in what the ai left out. Rhythmic interest and syncopation, deceptive cadences, satisfying and interesting cadences, stressful suspensions. As long as the machine can't feel it will never know the importance of these elements.

There's genuinely no point of comparison.
It feels like a quick draft you wrote while taking a dump bathroom against something you sat pondering at for 3 weeks straight, 6 hours a day.

Truly phenomenal work.
Might favorite part might be around 9:50.

Honestly, the Fugue produced by Astra is fairly impressive in that it is not utterly disgusting hot garbage. Compared to a lot of musical AI stuff I have seen, it's a remarkable improvement.

I was afraid i wouldn't be able to tell the difference, since i'm not that knowledgeable about fugues, but the AI one literally felt like nothing, while the human one had so much emotion

Being aware of how quickly AI is evolving and its growing existential threat to us, I hear your beautiful fugue as an elegy to humanity.

obviously your fugue is a thousand times better that chatgpt's. but still, let alone the comparison with AI, your fugue is SO BEAUTIFUL😍😍😍😍 I'm literally obsessed, I hope I'll get to compose as good as you one day.
