  I have been commenting this everywhere I can: red skull symbol is sulfur, blue skull symbol is mercury, and some misc skulls have the symbol salt (alchemic symbols). when placed on respective pedestals they fill with appropriate material (blue gives mercury, red burning sulfur aka brimstone, and you can find a salt skull in the 4-3 light room on a pile of possibly salt)<br>In hermetic alchemy these are the tria prima, believed to be what fundamentally composes all substances and they are related to the body (salt), the spirit (mercury), and the soul (sulfur).

  Random fun fact <br>Every machine was made to counter the last in the war<br>The Earthmovers were the last thing put into full production before the end of the war<br>V1 was a prototype that never made it to full production (Hence us being the only V1)<br>It is heavily implied that V1 was legitimately Built to Counter the Earthmovers, which is why the moment you show up, the Earthmover instantly tries to kill you<br><br>Plus, I mean it makes sense<br>V1 would pretty much be perfect for climbing an earthmover, and then killing everybody on the city on it&apos;s back for fuel, to then enter and kill the earthmover itself<br><br>Also bonus fun fact<br>The Guttermen have human bodies in those coffins on their backs, and that&apos;s how they&apos;re powered<br><br>Additional bonus bonus fun fact<br>The new death screen implies several things<br>V1 is 100% sentient<br>V1 has organs<br>V1 wants to scream as it dies, unfortunately, it lacks a vocal module<br>V1 has no mouth but must scream<br><br>V2 has a vocal module, hence it screaming as it dies<br>And there&apos;s also an eye that shows up for like a frame at the very end of the death screen
