  Thank you for this. In my youth and school years, I was an overachiever. In my adult years, I struggle with being undisciplined and craving comfort and the results of hard work without the discipline it takes to get there. I don&apos;t want to be unappreciative of what God&apos;s given me, and I feel ashamed of how behind I feel in life. It doesn&apos;t set the right tone and headspace for my marriage either. I want real freedom, not just an illusion of it, and not to carry this cloud of shame over my head. When it feels like all areas need work, it can feel paralyzing and the shame cycle just keeps going.

  Father, I don&apos;t want to only intend to follow you. I want to actually do it. Holy Spirit, help me cooperate with you. Fill my weakness with your strength. Give me the will to take the small steps today. The patience to keep going and sowing, even when I don&apos;t see results, and eyes that are fixed on eternity, on what lasts. I put my discipline in your hands. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. 🙏🏾

  One thing I have noticed about my own tendencies is this: as I grew in self discipline i began to place higher expectations on others I interacted with,even if only in my mind, which led me to need a good bit of repenting. Humility for me was needed as i grew in self discipline and mercy,grace for others around me, in some sense leave the next person alone,don&apos;t begin to believe we have the right to just begin imposing our pursued level of self discipline on others,and even as we achieve living a more disciplined life,don&apos;t impose it on &nbsp;our fellow man,just because were pursuing it. &nbsp;And don&apos;t look down on others because were going forward. Remain humble,contrive, keep looking up,not around

  This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been trying to overcome my binge eating. It’s something I’ve been struggling with all my life. Emotional eating from all of my past trauma. But God is showing me that part of me died when I was washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Holy Spirit is opening my eyes that it’s not going to happen over night but by giving myself the grace to change and plant those seeds, I will see results in the next season. I don’t want my kids to follow in the bad habits I had when I was just trying to cope with life because I was so traumatized by all the abuse I endured. I want to be a good leader for them and let them develop healthy habits and become the new generation in Jesus’ mighty name. Pray for me it’s been a struggle ❤

  Brother today of all days, you managed to speak right into my soul. I’m a father and a husband, and I’m struggling bad. No money every week, and I’m deep in the red. I’ve been trying to refinance my house, trying to get ahead of it and I got denied for repairs. I’m trying so hard to keep control when I know full well that I’m battling against the lord, and that isn’t what I’m trying to do. Releasing everything to him is so hard to do, but I know this is what I need to do. Thank you for the encouraging sermon today.
