If using a plug, install a 3 amp fuse in it. 13a is too much for an led strip

thanks, I would add that 'smart' features are not just for accessing it from the other side of the world. For example, I will be using a smart plug connected to the cabinet lights, and also have a smart motion sensor in the kitchen. Then, if it is past sunset, and the motion sensor is activated, then the lights will automatically turn on for as long as motion continues to be detected plus 5 minutes.
