i think that the second queer censorship is lessened in china(if that ever happens lets not get our hopes up) Hoyo is just gonna be like "THEY'RE GAY AND THEY'RE GAY AND AND THEM GUESS WHAT THEY'RE GAY TOO."

I like the way Disco Elysium handles sexuality in a unique way.

You play as a specific character with a specific history, not one you create. And that character just happens to have latent bisexual feelings. There's absolutely no choice about feeling those feelings, just like you can't choose who you're attracted to in real life. You meet a particular man, and your character has intrusive thoughts about how attractive he is. You can only choose whether you want to explore why you're feeling that or ignore it.

Signalis is so good you guys I promise!!!
It's like a clasic "Where's my wife?" survival horror game but you play as a gay anime android lady and the true horror was authoritarianism the whole time.

When I played Mass Effect Andromeda years ago, the one character (Cora) I wanted to be gay with ended up being straight af. All I could think was "wow its so realistic".

Also shout out to the outer worlds for having an ace lesbian as a main crew character with her own storyline and and cyberpunk 2077 for casual queer characters and trans rep with main character customization!

you said "if you exist, EA will charge you for it" when my Sims 4 finished opening. Mildly horrifying.

I love the way New Vegas adds some interesting political details about queerness, like the NCR having a "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy in the military, or conflicting accounts about the Legion's stance on it. It makes it feel more real than it just being an unquestioned thing
