  There were times when I would recite surah Al Fatiha in salah and would  cry because I realize the enormity of the gift that Allah has given me, for having chosen me to be one  of those whom He guided to Islam. Alhamdullilahi rabbil alameen!

  I remember meeting Sh. Nouman Ali Khan as a non-Muslim (on the verge of taking my shahada) at Reviving the Islamic Spirit in Toronto, Canada in 2013. All I did was say hi to him and tell him that watching his videos about Islam and the Quran were what helped me make my decision to accept Islam. I remember asking him for a photo and he politely declined stating that he respectfully doesn&apos;t take pictures with women. I completely respected that and I&apos;m happy to even have met him for a brief moment. I took my shahada a couple months later in 2014 Alhamdulillah but that exact day I had tears in my eyes and my heart knew I wanted to accept Islam already. I was very close to telling him I wanted to take my shahada but I got scared and it took a couple more months to finally have the courage. May Allah swt bless him. Ameen.
