This wonderful story began with fear & desperation, Eliza & her 11 children alive no matter what. When a barn came into view, Eliza began to have hope that at least maybe her children would sleep safely that night. Then enter a quiet man , Ethan , that changed their lives. With kindness & compassion there was real hope. As time passed that quiet man let this mama & her brood enter his life & his heart. In the end, after all was said & done , love began to take hold. The characters were realistic. The plot came together showing strength of character & determination. The ending could not have been better. No longer just 11 children but 4 more. That's courageous! I thoroughly enjoyed this story! 😊 My one concern is that Eliza kept sayin̈g 13 children before the other one s were born. Oh well it didn't damage my enjoyment. From Grover, North Carolina USA
