The really funny thing about that punchline is that, iirc, Madame Web was voiced by Stan's wife.

i was 1000% expecting the skit to end with spidey exiting the scene without bringing stan down first and leaving him on top of the building, but i realize that's already how the real scene in the cartoon went and the ending we got here is much funnier.

I feel like if he was still around, he would definitely lend his voice

Stan Lee… The man who didn’t do all the bad things to Spider-Man, but had no issues in outright admitting to the creation of Striperella.

Well if Spider-Man has to thank Stan Lee for anything, it's that Stan is the reason why Peter was even married in the first place. You see Stan Lee was going to get Peter and Mary Jane married in his Newspaper strip, but the editors at Marvel wanted the first piece of media of Peter and MJ being married to be the comics. So they fast track the marriage in the comics and that is why Peter and MJ were married for 20 years before some idiot decided to make Peter to have a deal with the devil.

"You were supposed to talk to Steve Ditko" Ohhh boy that would have gotten him an entirely different monologue, that's for sure.

Stan Lee: "I wanted to make you happy, but boy do the fans just love seeing you miserable, and I love the fans so.."

There is the "stan was a genius who did everything by himself with some artists who helped him draw" which was the narrative for years. And then the "stan did nothing and kirby and ditko did everything" narrative that is very popular now. And the truth is somewhere in between. It was a collaborative work through and through. But you wouldnt want to meet steve ditko
