I remember one of the first YouTube videos I watched when I got my first PC was a Los Santos speedrun in proper crappy 240p in either 2008 or 2009. Good times.

I bought Josh’s GPU he was currently using (before upgrading his PC) when he smashed San Andreas at 1:08:19 during the height of lockdowns. He signed it with gold ink and I still display it in my room to this day! Josh is a legend in my book 👌

Man I remember being there in my young teenage years for joshimuz's ESA WR and his 6 hours 48 seconds improvement, to think how much time was crunched from 7 hours 48 minutes down to the point where anniversary/remakes of this game crunch it down to just minutes is insane to think, it's no wonder that people want to have NMG, this game has brought so much talent to the table and it's amazing what's been found and what may even be yet to find on this game.

one small detail you forgot to mention is when resetting, people started closing and reopening the game instead of just going to the main menu because if you didn't restart the game you'd inadvertently have a new game+ situation

I died when you said stealing a caddy turns out to be more attractive than turning up in a sports car

Having watched Josh's Part 3 of collecting all vehicles and knowing about his origin story, it's still always a great listen, as it is pivotal to the game's history, if not even Speedrunning as a whole, thanks Ben (and LotsofS)
