The scariest part of this episode, to me, is that schools and camps like this actually exist. There's no shortage of horror stories from survivors of them.
Obviously without the literal clones, but schools rife with abuse meant to break someone down into an obedient shell of themselves

This episode feels like a backdoor pilot for a CW teen thriller series, and I am ALL for it!

I love how this is basically just Stepford Wives but for kids.
I also really like that the typical Dark Twist Ending actually turns out to be a Good Twist Ending.

This is actually a (though supernaturally enhanced) rather realistic depiction of real-life “Troubled Teen” camps and boarding schools. Abuse, even torture, are frighteningly common. But because the kids are “troublemakers”, it’s either outright ignored or accepted as a necessary evil to make them into “good kids”.

This episode grossed me tf out 😭 It was the part where they find all the "perfect" clones of the kids and i think one of em still has their umbilical cord attached to em-

I always loved this episode just because of how suspenseful it was but when I was younger, I thought real Brian was imprisoned while his clone went home but retained his personality (hence him still pranking his brother and wishing to rescue the other boys in the end).

What's interesting is that it does seem like the school tries to correct bad behavior before they make the decision to create the clones.

The “Your programming will be excellerated” thing makes a lot more sense in the book since the kids are replaced by robots instead of clones.
Please do more Creeped Out episodes.

You keep talking about how austere the school is, that it seems more like a prison than a school. That's actually the norm for these so-called "reform schools". The majority of them are basically torture factories that are legally allowed to beat the kids

I literally never put it together that all the kids he was interacting with were the clones which makes sense now as to why the kids look like goody goods on the bus.
