  What makes the whole &quot;destiny&quot; thing even more convoluted is that Ben 10 is repeatedly stated to have an infinite multiverse with infinite timelines. Ben <i>has</i> no set destiny because it&apos;s always changing based on events from the present. Even the very first Ben 10,000 episode was altered right from its conception after Ben got Grandpa Max a cake for his birthday.<br><br>The idea that Ben only has one future also just makes the world seem so small and far less interesting. Why did they choose that as their justification instead of actually trying to write a healthy relationship?

  In my opinion, Kai would have been a better love interest if she was introduced earlier and appeared in more episodes. The fact she&apos;s in so few was really a hindrance. I think it was Fight at the Museum that really solidified the forced feeling of BenXKai. It was her second appearance in Omniverse and suddenly there&apos;s a time traveler telling them that they HAVE to be together because they&apos;re destined to be married. It really put me off of the relationship

  The reason why I was never a fan of Ben and Kai&apos;s relationship is because of how forced it all was. One of my biggest pet peeves with Omniverse is that it was trying to be a prequel to the Ben 10K future we saw in classic, rather than be its own thing. It&apos;s especially insulting because in Ultimate Alien, they establish that every time Ben meets a future version of himself his timeline changes. This is also the reason why Spanner pissed me off. It felt like Ben had no agency, and must be in a relationship with Kai, because it&apos;s his &quot;destiny&quot;. Despite the fact that the two have little to no chemistry, and everyone universally dislikes Kai (myself included). This is especially infuriating because Omniverse also introduced Ester, and her and Ben had a much more interesting relationship. Hell, fucking Looma had more going for her than Kai.
