After my stepdad passed on, in 2000, I donated his Champion Blue Ribbon outboard to the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame museum in Hayward Wisconsin, of which I am a member. They had determined that it was of 1946-47 vintage, being 4.7hp, I believe. The museum was delighted to receive it, as they did not possess one , at that point. I visited the museum a couple years later, it was satisfying to see our donated outboard on display.

I still think one of the best engines built back in the day with some Mercury 3 cylinder 2 stroke 90 horse

I had the 140 Charger loved it , 55 mph all day long . It pulled Baylor Bear 340 lb right guard straight up on a deep water slalom. Even he was amassed as his own boat wouldn't pull him up with just a slalom .

Helped my grandfather repair a Scott Atwater when I could hardly hold a wrench.

We used to ski behind a 10hp Scott-Atwater on a 10' punt when we were kids. If you over 100 lbs it was touch and go

My dad bought a brand new Ouachita bass boat equipped with a 45hp Volvo Penta in the mid 1970's. I remember as a kid that motor gave him nothing but trouble. We didn't fish in it much because it was always in the shop. Eventually, parts and service became scarce, so he sold it in the mid 80's.

My grandfather had 2 Martin motors. The 7.5 was a gem

The narration describes Arrow outboards which were made in my hometown in Canada, but video shows unrelated Indian Silver Arrow motors made by the same company that makes Indian motorcycles. Speaking of motorcycles, the Konig 500 engine was also adapted for use in a 500cc Grand Prix bike. It wasn't a twin as described, it was a flat four. Still on the subject: a flat twin two-stroke Anzani sounded absolutely nothing like a 90 degree V-twin Ducati four-stroke.

I had a ''Milburn Cub'' 3 hp in 1956. I was 10 years old. My dad built me a boat and got me the motor for it. Air cooled. Never seen one since.
