  Should be noted that the Enterprise E was fighting with emergency power only for the whole fight against the Scimitar. Shinzon's first strike knocked out the warp core leaving Enterprise crippled from the start. Even then she fought hard and survived which says a lot about the Sovereign class.

  The Intrepid is really a  sort of Light Advanced Science Cruiser. It was well armed, responsive, and very adaptable.

  Way back in the day, the Humble Saladin Class Ship packed a real Whollop!! She didn't look like much but she was armed to the teeth!! Most of the weapons were cleverly concealed. Later models were modified to accommodate auxillary spacecraft. She also did not require hundreds of crew!!

  Found it odd that when voyager returned they couldn’t use the tech from the future but wouldn’t the Borg be working to assimilate and improve on those defense items?
