  37 year old film,and it's still better than 95% of the films made currently!  Just an awesome action film!

  Fun Fact BJ and Asia: At the movie premier. Paul Risner's (Burke) mother cheered when burke was killed by the Alien.        She was so disgusted by his behavior after he tried to have Ripley and Newt killed in the lab.        When it came to his death, she exclaimed with glee, 'Thank God, he deserved it.'   Paul Risner looked at his mother in utter shock.    Hilarious for sure.

  Former Marine here. I have seen Aliens probably over 100 times. It is a beloved movie to me. That being said....one of the scariest parts of the movie is when Ripley looks at Newt and says these people are here to protect you....they are soldiers and Newt raises her head up and looks at Ripley and says it won't make any difference. James Cameron created so much dread and hopelessness with that scene in itself. Enjoyed seeing your all's reaction to one of the best movies ever created. Semper Fi.

  This movie won 2 Oscars. Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Effects Editing. The sound of this movie really adds to the heart pumping action and suspense. Even something as seemingly innocuous as the sound of the tracking device when the aliens were closing in builds tension!

  Y&apos;all missed one of the most touching parts of the entire movie. When Ripley and Newt hug after the airlock closes, Newt calls Ripley mommy. Makes me shed a tear every time.

  Ripley&apos;s &quot;They can <i>bill</i> me!&quot; is an underrated comment. And, when I saw it in the theater, the audience&apos;s roar of approval after &quot;Get away from her, you bitch!&quot; down out the soundtrack for a few seconds (and this was a <b>loud</b> movie in the theater).

  Fun Fact about Al Matthews (Sgt Apone): He was an actual Marine, where he served as the first black Marine in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam, as per his own account: &quot;I spent six years in the United States Marine Corps; I hold thirteen combat awards and decorations, including two purple hearts. I was the first black Marine in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam to be meritoriously promoted to the rank of sergeant; I served with Kilo Battery, Fourth Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division, of that I am very proud.&quot;<br><br>RIP Al Matthews (1942-2018)
