  If you ask Rick Astley for a DVD of the movie “Up”, he will not give it to you because he is Never Gonna Give You Up. However by not giving you Up, even though you asked for it, he is letting you down. The Astley Paradox.

  I love that I know about the preface paradox now. Like without the context of, you know, how books get written and published, I could totally see how one could assume that "all errors in this book are my own" would mean "I checked all the errors in this book and confirmed that they were mine" (rather than what it actually means, which is "I fixed all the errors that I saw, so if any still remain, that's on me"), and then think "why would the author check all those errors but not fix them?" Wild. I love it.

  My favorite &quot;one guy getting confused&quot; paradox is the cheese paradox, similar to the temperature paradox:<br>Cheese has holes<br>The more cheese you have, the more holes you have<br>The more holes you have, the less cheese you have<br>Therefore the more cheese you have, the less cheese you have.<br>It&apos;s pretty obvious what the problem is, like you don&apos;t even have to rephrase it, but I still like it for the split second before you realize it doesn&apos;t make sense

  what&apos;s especially funny about Schrodinger&apos;s Cat is that he created it to deliberately mock how stupid and nonsensical the theory of quantum mechanics sounded but now it&apos;s just accepted as basically &quot;yeah that&apos;s how it works&quot;

  The worst part of the raven paradox (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppX7Qjbe6BM&amp;t=1146">19:06</a>) is not just that a green apple is, in fact, evidence that all ravens are black -- it&apos;s that, by the same reasoning, the green apple is also <i>equally</i> good evidence that all ravens are white!
