These are great explanations. For Beloved, the title and character name is pronounced Belove-ed and the main character’s name is pronounced Seth-a. This is according to the movie that the author, Toni Morrison, was involved in making.

When you talked about the Miso Soup plot, I imagined Frank as Frank Reynolds from Always Sunny...

1:00:50 for me the worst part of what Gacy did is that there are STILL unidentified victims. Those poor families, so many years without answers. And those poor boys, just completely lost. It breaks my heart every time I think about it. He was a monster.

The real horror in Hyperion isn't even the Shrike, who turns out to be a good guy, it's the fall of the farcaster network, the secret arms race the Artificial intelligences have against each other and how the author ignored all that in the end to turn it into a cutesy love story that is still a little creepy even with the time dilation stuff

the darkest part of cullen's columbine is how poorly researched it is. it only takes reading brooks brown's book to notice how incompetent cullen was when talking about both shooters

The movie version of The Collector is very good. I liked it even when I was young. Very good movie.
