  The bench idea was good, when you are recovering pieces with odd edges and corners, you need to give some relief cuts to the fabric in those corners, it will help the fabric lay flat :)

  I learned last week that Goodwill is no longer a good thrift store.  I hadn't been to a Goodwill in a long time, so I decided to stop. When I saw the prices, my first thought was, "They are out of their minds".  The final straw was when I saw an almost empty bottle of shampoo & conditioner priced at $6.  This really made me question everything in the store.  I didn't think they were allowed to sell items like that if they had been opened or used. A lot of the stuff could be purchased at Target or Walmart, NEW, for cheaper than what they were trying to sell it for.  I'm done with Goodwill.  I love thrifting, so I'm hoping that I can find some local thrift stores with better prices.

  My Mom and I love to go thrifting together. I've found so much great stuff for my house at thrift stores that I actually use and don't just use as decor. A couple of my favorite things are my glass butter dome, my 1940's sugar and creamer, and my most recent find, a matching blue carnival glass platter and candy dish that is just like a set my Mom had when she was a little girl. And I also love finding nice glass ware items that I can use around my house, whether it's used as a serving bowl in my kitchen or a dish to hold my jewelry.

  I’d love more thrifted DIYs. I can’t drive myself anymore ( have too many goodies anyway.) I’ll watch you do it. Btw I never find Thrift stores like yours. 🎉
