I am born and brought up in bandra, mid 70s to end of 1999. The memories, and the mount mary fair used toe be so awesome in my school days. Most bollywood stars are around this area at bandstand, carter road and pali hill

In Mumbai, it's very straightforward. Just tell the auto (tuk-tuk) driver your destination, and they'll simply say yes or no. If they agree, hop in and make sure they switch on the meter. When you reach your destination, just pay the metered fare. This system is mostly unique to Mumbai. In many other Indian cities, auto drivers don't always use the meter, so you'll usually need to negotiate the fare before starting your trip.<br><br>I'd also recommend avoiding overly generous tips for auto drivers. While tipping is appreciated, consistently giving large tips can create unintended problems. Some drivers may start prioritizing foreign tourists over local passengers because they expect higher earnings. It can also encourage some drivers to repeatedly approach or pressure tourists to ride with them, even when they're not interested. To help avoid this, it's best to pay the exact fare, or simply round it up slightly if you don't have the correct change.
