  Everyone remembers  The Catch but man that game-saving tackle by Eric Wright at the end was arguably just as significant.  Wow.

  41 years ago. I watched it live. It was an incredible moment and so began the 49ers Dynasty in the 80s. Proud to say I watched it from the very beginning.

  "The Catch" and "The Drive" never fail to bring tears of joy to my eyes every time I rewatch them. RIP Number 87 Dwight Clark.

  The crowd at Candlestick was just like the people in the streets in the Bay Area after that game. (I had just moved there a year before.) The party atmosphere everywhere was unreal. People had been waiting years to see their team in the Superbowl and it finally happened. It was insane but exiting to be part of it. Traffic jams with 100's of people running through the streets screaming, horns honking, Drinking and partying, people banging pots and pans together like some crazy New Years celebration on Steroids. I grabbed an old trumpet and blew it until my lips hurt...lol. I saw people literally running over the roofs of rows of stalled cars in the traffic jams. True pandemonium. Who new that my new favorite team would then go on for over a decade to kick ass and brake new records. Montana, Rice, Young....wow ! What great memories this brings back. This game started it all. I am glad I was there to be part of it.

  Listening to Vin Scully calling football just reinforces my belief that he is the greatest sports announcer in the history of the world.

  Me an My Dad sat down Together an Watched this Game on Tv in January 1982 , i just turned 13 a few weeks prior,  this Game an the Miami Dolphins vs the San Diego Chargers Play off game at the Orange Bowl  are the 2 Best Football Games of the 1980's  ..  Thank U Dad for spending some time with Your Son

  this is when football players played like Football players...tough and no holds bar. Classic.  loved watching it in those days, now a days....not the same.
