  As A Guy who regularly listen to Metallica, Megadeth, Cannibal Corpse, I can say that this song is well written. Respect to the Pop community.. love you guys

  My mother works for a rich family as a maid. My mother always takes me to her workplace every weekend because there&apos;s no one who can watch over me at our house. Then I met this pretty girl, Kate, who is the only child of the family my mother works for. She&apos;s the only child; that&apos;s why she doesn&apos;t have anyone to play with.<br>She approached me and said &quot;Hello&quot;; and I was hesitant to talk to her because of our class. Their family is on another level in our village—like the rich among riches. Yet her mother told me to play with her because she&apos;s been lonely ever since. We started talking, then playing, and watching TV every time I visited their house. We became childhood friends.<br><br>Until I started to fall in love with her—because she always held my hand every time their dog was near me (I&apos;m afraid of dogs). She became my first love. She started coming to our house so I wouldn&apos;t have to be scared of their dog. Whenever she&apos;s at our house, I always liked it when we went to the river at the back, because that&apos;s the time she asked me to piggyback her, since she&apos;s afraid of any insect that might stick to her feet. I just liked that she hugged me from behind while pointing where we should go.<br>Then we started talking about each other&apos;s feelings, and after that, we became awkward with each other. We just made eye contact whenever I visited my mother at their house, but we didn&apos;t talk anymore.<br><br>Until they moved to another place, and I also moved to a bigger town for college so I could work at night while being a student during the day. After college, I became a software engineer and moved to a much bigger city—BGC, Manila—for work. Then the pandemic hit, so our manager told us to work from home.<br>After years away, I finally came back home. All of a sudden, I unexpectedly met Kate at the 7/11 store. We talked a little and started messaging on Facebook. I told her about my work, while Kate—she&apos;s taking a master’s degree. I invited her to come over to my place because this time, having my own house and car, I&apos;m confident enough now to face her family.<br><br>Kate moved to my place, and we are now both back in our old little town where it all first started. We tried to revive the spark that we once had. However, after all, we realized it just doesn&apos;t work. Maybe our feelings for each other have changed over the years.<br>Goodbye, my childhood love. I will always remember you in this kind of song. Thanks for all the memories we once shared...

  I&apos;ve loved this song since it came out when I was little...brings back memories to when I sang it as a duet with my dad with him on the guitar at my school talent show when I was 8 &lt;3
