  I&apos;m sure I&apos;m gonna get called a boomer for this take but, this is what Lego is all about. It&apos;s not about building a new set and just letting it sit on a shelf, collecting dust. It&apos;s about taking the pieces you have and building something awesome out of it, and continuing to remake it and reimagine it.

  He must have painted Lando’s head himself. They didn’t have that skin color until the Lando minifig in 1999

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbFAb-IOqWA&amp;t=320">5:20</a> On where he got the parts, it WAS possible to simply order bulk bricks directly from Lego back in the day using mail order. Lego even had advertisements in the Lego catalogues for certain color palettes and packs of specific bricks. I distinctly remember a &quot;Bridge Building&quot; pack that came with large arches and the old-style steel girders. (yes i&apos;ve just dated myself) <br>of course, this was the early 90&apos;s, so you WERE kinda limited in your available color selection: IIRC they&apos;d only just introduced Green and brown, and Tan and old Dark Grey was still a few years off, let alone Purple, orange or Teal.

  It gives me kind of existential melancholy thinking about how there&apos;s servers that you could lease or buy back in the 90s that could literally host for you indefinitely, and thus there&apos;s still ancient pages still online. <br>The feeling about how some guy somewhere bought a certain amount of bandwidth or storage on a server and uploaded a web page, and that web page will just stay up, possibly decades after he leaves this mortal coil. Dude could have been a 60+ year old enthusiast who passed years ago, but his footprint will forever remain on that website.<br>Back in the 90s before conpanies really knew the value of the internet, you could basically pre-pay for/lease years of hosting or &quot;buy&quot; a flat amount of storage that is hosted indefinitely.<br>I wonder how long these ancient servers will stay online...
