  Crazy when you try to say that it takes some 80 staff to keep the house running when the last vlog I just watched <br>on the Biltmore said they only had a staff of 30 to 40 to run the house!

  I absolutely love your videos. I&apos;m completely obsessed with the gilded age. Can you please add more color to your videos? Everything looks so pretty when it has color. The black and white is absolutely perfect to represent the tragedy.❤️❤️❤️🍷🍿

  I could not abandon my two children--that&apos;s what I have, too. I watched them grow and guided them. They&apos;re adults now, happy, adjusted. Sometimes they and I &nbsp;went off for a few weeks while my husband stayed behind to work and other times we all went. &nbsp;I understand that a break, a change of scenery is needed from time to time, but never at the cost of leaving your children. And why the first divorce? It seems she had a good husband there and that they had worked out an arrangement.

  Biltmore used to run a dairy farm on the land, when i first visited about 50 years ago, now a winery and a fancy hotel on the property. Im watching your channel from Greenville, SC, approximately 60 miles from Biltmore. I, personally, feel like George Vanderbilt probably had some mental issues that he passed along to his daughter. He didnt really &quot;fit&quot; into society either, if you think about it. Cornelia watched her mother struggle under the weight of responsibility the house placed on her when George died, and I believe Cornelia chose to walk away from it all, the materialism that was such a cage for her parents. I dont like that she walked off from her sons, and I hope they were able to forgive her for that, but its probably the best thing she could have done for them. She left them with their father, which is not so bad, is it?
