i still can't wrap my head around the fact that siberian husky and a pug is in the same species while alligator and crocodile is not even in the same genus.

Imagine if aliens kidnap people and breed them to have various deformities that they think cute.

Ah yes, the cult of cute. It's a creature, NOT a toy!

The pug really makes me sad because every pug I've ever met is the funniest sweetest dog.

I've never understood why people find it so difficult to just breed them with a healthier breed of dog, even a single generation of crossbred pug is significantly healthier.

Is a dog being "cute" really that much more important than a dog being able to exist in relative comfort.

My country (The Netherlands) has made it illegal to breed brachycephalic dogs.

"Just because you can, doesn't mean you should..."

These words from Jurassic Park ring true in the modern world even to this day... My heart goes out to these little guys, whose very existence is pain...

I think the 1800’s pugs are actually cuter than today’s

What is really funny is when people are shocked when a dog actually HUNTS something or shows predator instincts, like c‘mon it‘s a fucking animal not a plushie

The worst part is, a LOT of people who have pugs know that the breed is prone to suffering, but they simply don't care just because they think it's cute..
How can someone even find attributes cute that are the cause of suffering??

0:20 That’s funny, considering that the Atreides family have a pug in the Dune (1984) film and that story is set around 25,000 years in the future.

I think humans should breed dogs to give them longer lives so that they can have a little bit more time on earth than they already have
