This is the first video I've actually disagreed with Troy on. Seeing the album in concert was such a transcendent experience. Like this was a magical experience for me and my dad.

i so appreciate you giving this a shot! They are for sure a very fun band :) i do have to say though- the lyrics are actually an incredibly important part of the full experience. TBAGG is a super conceptual album. and while having to diving into a bunch of lore may not be to everyone’s taste, the lyrics are not to be dismissed.

This album is so magical you can hear the gates open in the first song and can hear them close at the end of the last song

troy i’m so serious right now you’ve gotta see them live. it is one of the coolest experiences ever (ESPECIALLY light my love). also while it’s not the most straightforward album it’s so much fun analyzing the lyrics and breaking them down. they love being cryptic because they want people to form their own meanings for their songs so that they mean something different for everyone. I’m really glad you listened to them though, and i highly recommend watching their red rocks performance from on youtube. also since you liked light my love PLEASE listen to flower power 🙏🏼

as a fan of greta van fleet this is such an accurate video lol this album is great for fans but for non fans. i can totally see it. the music producer/maker side of troy really shines and its cool to hear what he thinks of songs i listen to quite a lot. thanks for the honesty troy~

I remember when my friend gave me this album and told me it was basically like “a gay concept album by Led Zeppelin” And, I was just blown away by everything. The vocals and the guitar solos especially left me in all.

I was so excited for this video and I've never been so sad he didn't like it. I LOVE GVF because their lyrics are complicated and deeper than most music nowadays. I've seen them 4 times live and they blow me away every time. I know it's not everyone's thing, but they are so beyond talented and I so badly wanted you to like them.

Man, this is just further evidence that I do not need to listen to people talk sh*t about things I love, bc it hurts every time 😭

Anyway, Starcatcher is one of the best albums of 2023 and GvF is easily one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen

28:54 as a longtime fan of GVF I love when you can SEE in his face the realization that that sound coming in is actually josh screaming
