  Fukuoka is my favorite city in all of Japan, to the point I even bought a house about an hours drive from Hakata , to spend more time there.<br>It is &nbsp;a 1st trier city but still relatively affordable. It is also quite dynamic and one of the few cities in Japan that have growing number of young people.

  Just found your channel. &nbsp;I have family in Fukuoka and am about to move there. &nbsp;I moved to the states at a very young age. &nbsp;Now, I&apos;m about to retire to spend more time with them and eat a lot of delicious food. &nbsp;I put together the utilities and am now looking for information about home insurance, real estate taxes, etc. &nbsp;Kyushu, in general, is beautiful. &nbsp;I especially love the area around Beppu and Shin-Moji. &nbsp;Liked and subscribed.

  Hey Dan, great video! I have just found your channel and gotta comment to say keep up the good work. I lived in Fukuoka about 12 years ago while working as a digital nomad and I have very fond memories. Much more bikeable than Tokyo, cheaper but tastier street food, and easy access to nature. Cheers!

  Rent is generally reasonable in Japan but food... food is so expensive here!

  ¥40,000 a month is heaps cheap for food. I just returned from 6 weeks in Itoshima and did ¥30,000 a week for myself. Them shops like Noan bakery and Chateraise cost a pretty penny when you want to sample everything that is tasty. Then there&apos;s the Ramune ice cream I had to eat daily. <br><br>I think I&apos;d go broke (and become obese) if I lived there 😂<br><br>I&apos;ll give you a buzz next time I&apos;m in town, I spend my annual leave in Itoshima for 5-6 weeks.

  Interesting. I actually live in Fukuoka and went to the same language school as you did.<br><br>I’d be more interested in what field you’re working in, and any challenges you might have come across looking for jobs (perhaps you have other videos up regarding that already?).

The &apos;my number&apos; joke is totally your type of humour haha<br><br>Just some ideas for future videos: on hindsight, do you think you&apos;d have preferred working in the West a little more and saving up enough to outright buy an apartment? I&apos;ve been eyeing some studios and they go for around 4-5 million JPY and an even more convenient location not far from Tenjin, and assuming the rent in those areas is about 70,000 JPY, it&apos;d take about 5 years or so to break even.<br><br>Another thing is whether after staying for 2 years or so, has Fukuoka grown boring/do you ever feel like you&apos;ve outgrown Fukuoka and ready for a move to elsewhere in Japan like Osaka?
