Anyone else finding new age sleep arrangements?

Hubby and I have been together 36 years, and have had separate sleeping quarters for about three decades now. And it’s definitely better for us for several reasons——we both twitch and occasionally snore, so we were constantly waking each other. And for several years we had radically different work schedules so we were getting up at different times, going to bed at different times. We always make sure we cuddle before we split up for the night. We’ve had people give us flak for it over the years, but screw them……..it works for us and keeps our marriage happy and healthy——we need our beauty rest!😂

My husband and I are all about sleep divorce! 😂 It really works for us due to our different sleep styles/needs. I’m the furnace in our relationship and he needs to be cold to get a good nights rest.  He also sleeps with his iPad in front of his face while it plays one of his favorite comfort shows, which disrupts my sleep. Add in our golden retriever and standard Goldendoodle who like to take up most of the bed and it’s a great time. 😅

Been married 30 years and started sleeping apart and we find it works better for us. We still have visits though 🙃

Separate can work. We are actually in separate beds now and it seems to be better. Granted, that started because I was literally about to kill both him and the dog, but still. All I will say is that when one person refuses to train or discipline the animal, and the animal has the balls to growl at me for getting into my own bed, then we have a very very very big problem.  The dog died early last year, but we are still in different beds once it became clear that both of us were sleeping better. Supposedly both of us snore, although I have never heard myself do such a thing 😄  I am also a night owl and he falls asleep in literally 10 seconds the second he sits or lies down anywhere. Both me and dog have also been kicked more than once, so there's that. However, it's mostly my bouncing around and him wanting to be colder that is the main reason why it works better now.  We were using separate sheets and blankets for a long time before this. We did use the same for a long time, but he would get too hot.  Now I get to stay up on the computer waaaaay too late while he gets to sleep at a normal time.

We sleep together but iam a snorer and he is a wild sleeper.  Punches and kicks in the night. I can see the advantage of seperate beds.

A lot of people are doing that now. After my husband had his stroke we slept in different beds..❤❤❤❤❤❤

There is no possible universe in which my ex- and I could have slept separately, we were spooners/cuddlers for sixteen years.  He always complained that my expensive memory foam mattress sagged in the middle, I kept telling him that’s because you are ON ME and memory foam cannot support two fully grown-ass men in one spot. 😁

I would prefer to have separate rooms if I was living with a partner. I wanna have a closet to myself instead of sharing one. I want all my possessions in one room and organize them the way I like. I need a place to decompress after a long, hard day. I wonder if that makes me sound like a terrible boyfriend...
