My favorite is when Bletchley Park picked up German chatter that they believed the deception at the very highest level, Bletchley sent a two word message to the War Cabinet: MINCEMEAT SWALLOWED!!! What this show forgot to include was that there WAS a British representative present for the autopsy who nudged the Spanish along. It was also a VERY hot day with no air conditioning in the room so you can imagine the smell. The book written by Montagu is fantastic and really goes into immense detail and I encourage everyone to read it!

There was a small rhyme in the movie "The Man who never was" thought I'd put it here for those who never saw the movie.<br>Last night I dreamed a deadly dream beyond the Isle of Skye, I saw a dead man win a fight, and that dead man was I.

This is an endeavor told by the Brits. Seen it it twice. Now for the third time. Simply great accomplishment.

The film Operation Mincemeat (Colin Firth et al) is a stunning tribute to the ingenuity of the British Intelligence during WWII. It was a number of ruses that had been listed as part of the Trout Memo (purportedly by Ian Fleming (James Bond author). They were worried that they wouldn't know if the Germans had managed to read the sealed documents, so they placed an eyelash in the pages, which had disappeared when the documents were returned and examined. :)

I've been impressed by a number of documentary presentations about Glyndwr Michael. This is the best I've seen yet. Such a tortured life, and death. What a Legacy !! I am biased. I went to college in Cardiff. ❤
