  You’re one of very very few YouTubers who speak very clear, concise and an even cadence. My college professor get out a pencil and make a line on paper when we presented and said uh, hum, ah etc. 4 lines then a strike through 😮. You have obviously been educated or are just very good at this. I like your video content as well.

  As an expat who was born and raised in the Philippines, BGC is a very good choice to transition. &nbsp;The culture there is very Western and because of it, there are plenty of expats. &nbsp;I did a very similar but very general monthly budget when I stayed there for 6 months. $1K for fixed budget, $1K for variables and $1K for leisure. &nbsp;There are plenty of areas where one can cut expenses and at the end of 6, months, I had plenty left- more than enough to buy another round-trip ticket. 2K is doable.

  Its possible because there are millions of filipinos living under 1k per month but as a westener you wont like it. &nbsp;I would say that 2k is the new 1k.

  Great presentation, Brian! I agree that your decision to land in BGC first as a primary residence is a wise choice for a very soft landing. There will always be differences and shocks and surprises going to a different country, but this probably greatly minimizes this. Has the harassment walking around persisted or settled down any? --Pete
