  I cant believe he left out the part where the daughter gets impaled with rebar and then pulls it out by herself and her bf somehow stops the bleeding with amazon packing tape and its never mentioned again.

  The actor who plays the amazon employee, Devon Bostick, has a crazy ass filmography. It consists of this, Saw 6, the diary of the wimpy kid movies, and then fucking Oppenheimer.<br><br>Edit: ty you all for pointing out I spelt ‘Diary’ wrong 😭 I was so focused on not misspelling the actor’s last name that it slipped past me.

  something I see no one talk about, that completely ruins the movie, is that we&apos;re told and shown that aliens eat data, yet every major website is completely fine, regardless of how it works.<br><br>amazon delivery works without fail. the main character uses facebook without it crashing. he still gets notifications from twitter, and can still upload a video to youtube without issues.

  The idea of a War of the Worlds movie where the main character is trapped in a bunker and can only see a fraction of what’s happening via his computer could work.<br><br>But this ain’t it.

  Finding out this was a COVID movie filmed FIVE YEARS AGO makes so much sense. The bad cgi and effects, everyone’s not in the same room together and the whole movie is about technology and paranoia.

  My favourite thing about this movie is that alot of the disaster footage is just straight up from real catastrophes. Video footage of the moments when hundreds of real people died was edited and immortalised in the dumpster fire of a film

  I really want to point out how truly vile this movie was in using stock footage. Cause they used IRL disaster footage. The Fort McMurray wildfires, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion, the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, and partial footage of Haiti during a massacre (I can&apos;t confirm this one) are all used 1-1. Not to mention the Bagram plane crash. There is also a lot of actual drone strike footage with cropped-in aliens. Evidently, this was deliberately done to be cheap, even though it could have been done more tastefully.
