Growing up in the 80's with a drag queen for a dad, Chandler's life would have been hell. Especially with his mom trying to sleep with his friends. Being bullied as a child actually tracks perfectly with his style of humor. Probably a different experience for boys and girls though.

Ok you have to cut Chandler a bit of slack. Both of his parents were awful to him growing up. They dragged him into their drama entirely too much and had a messy divorce. He has shared how much he was bullied in school for his mother's career writing erotic novels and for his father's antics dressing up in very attention seeking costumes. I don't doubt they love him and he loves them, but his feelings about them are complex. I too am glad he reconciles with his father in this episode and find it touching, but I totally get why he felt the way he did. As someone who cut off both of my parents I sympathize with him. Granted my reasons involve literal crimes and abuse, but relationships with parents can be very complex and it isn't fair to say 'oh just have fun with it and get over yourself!'

You do realize that Chandler was an actual child when the stuff with his parents started to become weird...It's surprising he even still sometimes talks to his mother, letalone his father.<br>Btw, this is all outside of the fact that his dad was a dragqueen

Never minimize another person's childhood trauma. Chandler's feelings about his parents are valid. No one ever tells Monica to just get over her issues with her mom...

I think Kirsten might be forgetting that Chandlers father was cheating on his wife with the poolboy. That's what caused the divorce. Its very understandable Chandler would be angry.

Fun fact: the live audience was present for everything but that final moment. So up until then, the only thing they knew was that Monica wasn’t pregnant. The last shot zooming in on Rachel was a surprise for everyone watching at home. Such an amazing cliffhanger and set up for what is without a doubt, one of the greatest seasons of television ever!
