"When you look at Ejae, there are truly many ironic aspects. Her grandfather was a very famous actor in Korea during the 1960s and 70s (Shin Young-kyun, born in 1928). He was accepted into the dental school of Korea’s most prestigious university but chose to become an actor instead, a profession that was looked down upon at the time. He later earned a lot of money but donated an astronomical amount equivalent to 50 million dollars. The fact that his granddaughter composed 'Golden' while going to the dentist also seems to be a meaningful coincidence. It feels as if her grandfather’s virtue has reached her."

Her life is the definition of everything happens for a reason. When she’s explaining her background I’m like OHHHHH that makes sense 😂

I agree, my family moved to Fort Lee and the Korean food there is legit, and authentic to what you can find in Korea.

Fascinating!  Ejae's had quite a journey, filled with more bumps and turns than we initially thought.  Throughout, however, she never lost her focus on, and love for, music.  What a dedicated student she was, whether as a trainee, a university student, or an NYC resident.  It's all contributed to the skills and talent we now get to witness.  Great interview!
