Eragon had an EXCUSE to be cringy. It was written BY AN ACTUAL TEENAGER. This was written by an ADULT.

What gets me is the dumb ass military. I get wanting to portray it as ruthless and cut throat, but when murder I straight up shrugged on when you’re supposed to trust these people in the heat of battle. Like how the hell has this supposed Military not imploded on itself? Violet doesn’t even trust one of her own CO’s (Commanding Officers) not to kill her in the middle of a class!

i'm gonna say this. WHAT KIND OF DRAGON TRAINING PROGRAM LITERALLY KILLS YOUR TRAINEES?? HOW DO YOU HAVE AN ARMY LEFT AFTER THAT. I dont know how to get past this question

At this point, I think these Fourth Wing rants are actively fueling my motivation to write, not so that I can copy it, but because I don't think I can do much worse.

I'd prefer that ALL Booktubers are this honest about the books they read. I can't go off Goodreads stars bc we all have different tastes.

I genuinely think that this book is most popular among people who have only ever read Harry Potter in middle school then Hunger Games in High School then nothing until they’re 24. As for how quickly they’re pushing these out, BookTok has created a literary Marvel Cinematic Universe situation

I love how this is super over hyped on TikTok and all the OG booktubers are tearing it to shreds 😂😂😂

My friend highly recommended this book, saying that she was "hooked from the second page".
I'm now completely questioning our friendship.

I like to imagine that Violet is actually dumb and intolerable to everyone around her, and that’s what drives the plot points, we just hear about how smart she is from her own perspective. Her mom sent her to the academy, her brother faked his disappearance, her sister takes posts far away, Xaden runs off, all so they don’t have to deal with her. Maybe the dragons were forced to bond with her as some kind of punishment.

This book saves me a lot of time, because if someone has a “top must-read fantasy books” list and they start with this I can just keep scrolling 😂

imagine if Smaug showed up one day in the fourth wing universe, roasted all these hoes for no reason and went to bed
